Digging in one's nose and laughing at a funeral
are generally considered uncouth, but local
inappropriate Behavior has come to stand for a
musical entity that has been aggressively breaking
down barriers of race and sound. formed in January
2009, the impetus for the band was lead vocalist Sunni
Minx's outrage at what she viewed as a complacent,
mundane local St. Louis rap scene. feeling limited
by her opportunities, she decided to create one.
Minx partnered with the talented pianist/keyboardist
Sandi ("S3"), and the two embarked on a journey
to make their band. The pair ran into a multitude
of adversity, namely disloyal instrumentalists. But
with focus, tenacity, and craigslist, they found the
missing links that would propel them forward.
Drummer Boy brings quiet confidence, Sammy B,
the lead guitarist serves up the charisma, and
Bassin' Jason a consistent and cool calmness.
The trio collectively brought the flavor the group
needed to become local tastemakers. Bassin'
Jason has been rocking for 14 years but
produces a youthful smile when he speaks
of what's ahead for himself and the group.
although Drummer Boy (the youngest
member) has only been playing for 4
years, he finds himself unable to put
down the sticks on stage, and views
practice as a formality that leads to the
thrill of performance. Sammy B sees
new, creative hues that color his
leads, though his musical origins
