First off you know your smartphone is killing the game when 4 million people buy it the first week.

The demand for the iPhone 4S is understandable because of the most talked about Siri voice controlled assistant.  Another feature is the device’s faster dual-core processor and fantastic 8-megapixel camera. But the new  top Android phone the DroidRazr offers plenty of features you won’t find on Apple’s 4 sequel. But the choice is yours….

The row-of-icons interface on the iPhone 4S is fresh and easy to use, especially for me a first-time smartphone user. The iOS 5 surpasses the Android with its Notifications bar, which is freshly designed and dynamic in the addition of weather and stock ticker info.

The edge the Android has in the interface department is it amazing widgets, which you can customize and access just with a  glance. Simple is better…

The iPhone 4S may have new dual-antenna system and reach 14.4 Mbps on AT&T,  gets blown away by 4G Android on Verizon.

When it comes to loading web pages the iPhone 4S takes a few more seconds to load many mobile sites , than that of 4G phones. On the iPhone 4S when it comes to data it will require more patience than on an 4G Android phone (youtube streaming, facebook updates, you name it…)

Android is finally catching up to Apple in terms of  number of apps available in their respective stores. Apple has  360,000 iPhone apps, compared to  320,000 for Android.

Only the iPhone 4S has Siri. The voice controlled assistant can help you with everything from scheduling appointments to sending messages.  The Droid Razr has Voice Command but verbal response is limited to none..

The iPhone 4S from Verizon can’t be beat. Siri takes smartphones to the next level with real intelligence. I can live with 3G speeds, so the Iphone 4s is for me…

Android phones offering 4G should not be overlooked. It will speeds up everything you do. Android integrates with multiple social networks and you have a wider range of design choices. If customizing your interface to your heart’s content and want the option of a bigger screen, Android is the way to go.

Hey I’ve been blessed once again to do a sampling of Verizon’s product the IPhone 4s. On Dec. 21st I signed up and attended a workshop thru Verizon for the IPhone 4s. It was amazing!! I’m a new IPhone user and man when I tell you, I left that workshop in love with Verizon and  Steve Jobs (r.i.p). Verizon’s  Sales Manager Donald was an excellent and patient conductor. The only thing that was needed was a stronger visual presentation. But none the least we had a great time learning to use the IPhone 4s.

Verizon has something good going on with these workshops for their products. Their interactive and informative to the point that all questions can be asked and answered… no matter what the question is… Like ” numbers by my Messages icon what that mean?”

Paul and Loretta had a field day asking Donald questions… “why is it  that every time I hit the button to go back off a page that it takes me to the home page?”

The highlight of the Verizon Iphone Workshop was… meeting Siri.  Siri lets me use my voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls and create memos.  I can ask Siri to do anything just by talking the way I talk. Siri understands what I say, she knows what I mean, and even talks back. Siri does so much that I’m still learning more and more of her functions.. I told her I was in the mood for Pizza and she found 18 pizza places and 13 were close to my vicinity… I EFFIN LOVE HER….

Everything from Love Jones to Love Stinks, this dude keeps us laughing like hell!

He just recently stopped through the STL for his brand new comedy tour, “Ladies Night Out”, which features a gang of comics all in one show to help remind the ladies that comedy is SEXY!

“St. Louis was incredible for us! 2 sold out shows [with] the warmest, most outgoing people. We had [them] laughing and dancing in the aisles [laughs].”

“It just made for an electric night!”

The show, created not just for the ladies, focuses mainly on relationship issues that anyone can relate to.

“Men and women come out to let their hair down and forget about their troubles. This is a project that is just plain fun!”

Bellamy also uses the comedy tour as a platform for mentoring young, up and coming comedians.

Featuring comedic newcomers Ali Siddiq as the host, and J. Reid and D’Lai as the opening acts, Bellamy offers the audience a fresh-faced alternative to the same comedians that we already know and love.

“[I teach them] how to be focused and [to] strive for excellence in every show. [I also teach them that] the fans are everything! We are here to be entertainers. The show must have all the bells and whistles! It has to be worth it!”

And clearly it is.

This tour is one of three taped shows for Bellamy’s up and coming comedy specials.

“We shot this as a comedy special for Showtime with behind the scenes footage from some of our favorite cities. St. Louis is included!”

The tour is geared up to become bigger, better, funnier and sexier!

“We will be a full throttle tour in theatres on our way to arenas! I’m looking forward to this new year with unlimited possibilities!”

Aside from creating buzz and anticipation from his “Ladies Night Out” segment, Bellamy is also working on another Showtime comedy special, Crazy, Sexy, Dirty, in which he offers a no-hold back standup routine filled with everything crazy, everything sexy, and most definitely everything dirty.

And for those not hip to the crazy, sexy, dirty jokes up his sleeve, Bellamy also teamed with American Family Insurance to offer the “Standing Up for Family” comedy special, showcasing some of today’s hottest comedians, making the whole family laugh.

And to add his long list of film credits, Bellamy also has a new film coming out this year, Sleeping Around. Coming out later this year, Sleeping Around is a screw ball sex comedy following two couples and their ten rules to a happy, healthy and open relationship.

This guy keeps the laughs coming – he’s like the freaking Energizer Bunny of comedy [laughs].

This is – without question – the most important music video Rihanna has ever done. One day, historians and critics will not just look back on ‘We Found Love’ as just another career-defining moment for the Barbadian pop queen but they will tell of how this piece of art served as a stylishly raw representation of our generation’s wreckless love. Put it this way, this whole production is the “black Jesus in ‘Like A Prayer’” of our time.

Any argument of Rihanna mindlessly churning out hits is basically now invalid. When you’re able to deliver next-level stuff like this and challenge your artistry at every turn, there is no reason why your reign should let up. Flawless director Melina Matsoukas - who has hemmed A-grade videos for RiRi in the past like ‘S&M’ and ‘Hard’ – continues to take their creative collaborations to new heights. They’ve always managed to successfully renderMs Fenty‘s youthful and sexy image with a refreshing edge and this time, they’ve gone all out Skins – depicting the Bajan bossbitch in a gritty and distinctly British setting, spinning out of control in a haze of sex and drugs.

There is such an undercurrent of intensity running through this video – you feel it from the stark British accent narrating in the beginning through to the kaleidoscope of shots showing Rihanna and her equally wreckless lover getting high, making out in public places and fighting. ‘We Found Love’ tells a tale of an addictive, destructive love that takes two young lost people through incredible highs and harrowing comedowns.

The “hopeless place”.

The song’s key lyric “we found love in a hopeless place” takes on a new angle when you see Rihanna throwing cold, sobering stares at her subtly Chris Brown-resembling lover (played by model Dudley O’Shaughnessy). The intense contrast of euphoric scenes – showing the couple kissing, raving together and getting drunk – with these stark moments really heightens the feeling of being in a volatile relationship. Then there’s also the juxtaposition of various quick flick shots of drugs spilling, pupils dilating and buildings getting detonated, just to drive the message home.

Rihanna‘s not snatching any daytime Emmys just yet but she might as well with this utterly convincing portrayal of a lost, vulnerable woman who’s stumbling over her youth, desperately grasping onto a relationship that is incapable of really filling the void. The monologue that opens the video sets the tone nicely:

“It’s like you’re screaming but no one can hear. You almost feel ashamed that someone could that be that important, that without them you feel like nothing. No one will ever understand how much it hurts. You feel hopeless like nothing can save you. And when it’s over and it’s gone, you almost wish that you could have all that bad stuff back so you could have the good.” I hear you, gurl.

These last few Rihanna videos have been very effective documentaries of whatever scene or culture they’re capturing, be it sun-soaked Barbadian village life (‘Man Down’), hectic life on tour (‘Cheers’) or the rave scene in the Northern Ireland countryside here. This is just the kind of attention to detail I appreciate in music videos and it’s just one of many promising elements ofRihanna‘s future as a pop music icon. There aren’t enough entertainers out there right now who can make amazing pop music and still communicate it with such depth.

For ‘We Found Love’, Rihanna and co. have probably canvassed enough locations and scenes to produce a mini-series for the BBC but the beauty with how it’s edited is that you only catch glimpses of it – playing out like a series of scattered flashbacks in your mind. It really is filmmaking and story telling through music videos at its very best.

Rihanna‘s ‘We Found Love’ is currently sitting at #7 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in its third week. Over in the UK, ‘We Found Love’ clocks its second consecutive week at #1, which is quite a feat given that the Brits haven’t had a single rest on top of the charts for longer than a week since July. In Australia, ‘We Found Love’ moves up to #2 in its third week. If it does go #1 here, it’ll be RiRi’s seventh chart topper.
